Action on Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano could be ready to heat up

Well, not it is official — Dayot Upamecano can talk to other clubs and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), expects the competition to be fierce for the Frenchman:

Several clubs are calling for Dayot Upamecano. They’re ready to offer him not only a big salary but also an important signing fee. That’s the crucial point for Bayern, reach an agreement on the salary, but also see how to compete with these clubs for the signing fee. Bayern will continue to speak to Upamecano’s agents in the coming weeks to try to reach an agreement – but other clubs remain there.

The signing bonus is surely an issue, but one that can be overcome. It feels like whichever club caves to Upamecano’s demand for a release clause that can be triggered as early as after the 2026/27 season for as low as €65 million will have a great chance of landing the France international.
