The New York Jets were embarrassed again on Sunday. They were defeated 42-10 by the AFC East-winning New England Patriots.
The Jets, who have lost four consecutive contests, hardly showed up.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had more touchdown passes (5) than incompletions (4). Their offense scored three times as many touchdowns (6) as punts (2). It was a true beatdown.

Head coach Aaron Glenn initially questioned his team's effort on Sunday. The tape indicated he was correct. Glenn backtracked during Monday's press conference, but the lopsided nature brings Gang Green's effort into question.
"I was highly disappointed with the way [we started the game] to allow this team [Patriots] to score on I think their first six drives," Glenn said. It was not good. Offensively we were stagnant. "Today was probably the one time I feel like our effort wasn't as good as I want it to be. That's just me not BS'ing you guys. I didn't think the effort was where it needs to be. We have to figure that out."
"I gotta watch the tape, I'm not sure," Jermaine Johnson II responded to questions about Glenn's effort criticism. "It's funny, we talked about commitment before the game. Regardless of our record, all of us signed up to play here. That's all that was going through my mind. I'm committed to this."
The Jets have to do some soul searching this offseason.
