Jerrick Gibson committed to Purdue this evening after visiting campus on the opening weekend of the Transfer Portal opening up.

Gibson totaled over 500 yards during his two seasons in Austin, he was a 4 star prospect from the 2024 class, and the 3rd ranked RB in the nation.
He played backup to Jaydon Blue and Tre Wisner during the 2024 season, Blue would go onto the NFL. Wisner is still at Texas and should find his way to the NFL as well.
For Gibson, there is plenty of carries for he to take over. This is a great opportunity and university for he to showcase the skills he showed at IMG Academy during his prep career and sparingly at Texas.
