WOW. After it seemed like Mike McDaniel would survive Black Monday and was a part of the Miami Dolphins' future plans, the head coach was fired on Thursday.
Does it mean the Fins are going hard after John Harbaugh? We'll see. But let's focus for the moment on McDaniel, who went a respectable 35-33 as head coach but whose resume as offensive coordinator and brilliant mind will no doubt get him hired in some capacity. It may not be as a head coach, but you never know!

What are some landing spots for McDaniel? Here are a few ideas:
Atlanta Falcons
They have a head coaching vacancy, and it just so happens that McDaniel has history with the franchise. Hmmm.
Philadelphia Eagles (offensive coordinator)
There's not even an opening there yet. But you could imagine that if the franchise doesn't make the Super Bowl and wants to make some changes on the coaching staff, McDaniel would be a great get.
New York Giants
Imagine Jaxson Dart being coached by McDaniel either with him at the helm or as OC.
Detroit Lions (offensive coordinator)
This could be amazing. McDaniel could cure what ails the Lions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (offensive coordinator)
A job that opened up right before the Dolphins vacancy.
Baltimore Ravens
Could McDaniel untangle the mess in Baltimore and whatever's going on with Lamar Jackson?
Cleveland Browns
Maybe coaches are nervous about working with a struggling franchise, but with a solid defense and help needed on offense, maybe this is a better landing spot than we think.
