Pete Carroll is officially one and done in Las Vegas. The Raiders search for his replacement begins post haste. Here are five top candidates out there who could fill the role.
Chargers DC Jesse Minter
Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter
The top head coaching candidate this cycle for many teams. He will be in high demand. And plucking a top mind away from a rival would be a nice bonus. He knows Jim Harbaugh as well as anyone, having worked under him since his Michigan days.

Has guided the Seahawks offense with new former top pick QB Sam Darnold to the NFC West title and a top five scoring offense. It could be worth it to see if he could do the same in Las Vegas.
49ers DC Robert Saleh

One of the most respected coaches in the league. He deserves another shot at being a head coach after a failed four-year stint with the Jets.
Vikings DC Brian Flores

The Tom Brady connection as Flores spent a decade plus with the Patriots during Brady's time there, including six seasons as a position coach before taking the Dolphins head coaching job. The Vikings defense has improved every season under him from worst in the league before he took over, to being a top five unit this past season.

Rams DC Chris Shula

The Sean McVay coaching tree is a strong one. And none more respected than Shula who has been on McVay's staff since 2017, the past two seasons as defensive coordinator.
