Here are some more of your comments on the sacking of Ruben Amorim and whether it was the correct decision by the Manchester United board.
Judy: I'm not surprised after his outburst on Sunday and I think he has been deliberately angling for an exit. He's been out of his depth at Old Trafford.

Jacob: It's definitely a decision the board will learn to regret. The problems in the football club extend way beyond the manager. As Ralf Rangnick once said, the club needs "open heart surgery". Changes won't happen overnight. Poor decision.
Sam: A disgraceful decision. How are United supposed to gain any traction with the chopping and changing of managers. Yes, the football has been average, but there has been improvements and, given time, I was convinced he would have successful. We're still paying for 10 years of bad management.
Matt: We are sixth with more structure in the club than has been seen in the past seven years. He's got rid of most of the 'bomb squad' with more needing to go. We have five first-team players out of the squad and we are benching a lot of youth players. Make it make sense! He was absolutely right in the news conference. Everyone should paddle their own canoe and ensure their own jobs are done correctly. Silly decision.
Vicki: He should not have been sacked. It will take time to get United back to top form, but it won't happen if we keep sacking managers.

Alex: Another reset and restart in the middle of the season - so another season to write off. Honestly, when will it end? It's hard to be a fan right now.
Josh: Absolutely ridiculous decision to sack Amorim. I can only think the relationship must have deteriorated to such an extent that it was untenable because we are finally making progress. He'd been improving players, we're sixth in the league (which is in line with expectations) and we only have half a squad right now. It is such a random time to make this change. I can't see why they wouldn't leave it and see what happens when everything calms down and players become available. Here we are again needing a system change, with half a team brought in by the previous manager. I just can't see this working.
Gareth: He obviously didn't do very well, but at times was likeable. I think this exposes the incompetence above him at Manchester United. He finished 15th last season and they did nothing about it!
