University of Tennessee athletics enters competition in 2026. Spring sports in 2026 is headlined by the Vols’ baseball program under first-year head coach Josh Elander.
He replaces Tony Vitello after eight years.

Tennessee will begin its 2026 baseball season on Feb. 13 versus Nicholls State. First pitch on opening day is slated for 4:30 p.m. EST at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity here on Rocky Top," Elander said. "I'm really happy for our players to continue building on what we've already built here. The hunt continues, and we're still excited. Love this place and these people. So thankful for the best that's yet to come."
