2026 NFL draft order: Tennessee Titans rooting guide in Week 18

12 hours ago 1

The Tennessee Titans have just one game left to play in the 2025 NFL regular season, and without a playoff berth, it's the last game they'll play until September 2026.

The Titans have looked more like a functional team over the last couple of weeks than they have all season, and nearly came away with a fourth win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 17.

Still, they rank near the bottom of the league in almost every category, and currently, they are projected to have the fourth overall draft pick in the 2026 NFL draft. However, they have a path to the No. 2 overall pick if certain scenarios play out (they can not secure No. 1 overall).

To that end, we've created a list of teams that Titans fans should root for in Week 18 to help Tennessee land the highest pick possible.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders currently hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. They are the only two-win team in the NFL, so every team that's in contention for that pick is rooting for them to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are simply not the same without Patrick Mahomes, so this is a plausible scenario despite how bad the Raiders have been in 2025.

New York Giants

Currently holding the No. 2 spot, the Giants are one of two 3-win teams ahead of the Titans in the draft order. The Titans need the Giants to beat the Dallas Cowboys, which would remove them from any path to the top pick that doesn't involve a trade. The Giants will need additional help to secure the top pick, though, so this could get a little murky.

New York Jets

The other team ahead of the Titans in the draft order, the Jets, play the Buffalo Bills in Week 18. It's a tall task to ask the Jets to climb that mountain, but the Philadelphia Eagles did it in Week 17, and it's not impossible. No, the Jets aren't the Eagles, but they've had some flashes this season, and since they've already been eliminated from obtaining the top pick, they'll be out for blood.

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona is the last three-win team, and right now, they are slated to pick one slot behind the Titans in the 2026 NFL draft. However, if the Titans win, that could change. So, not only do the Titans need to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but they also need the Cardinals to defeat the Los Angeles Rams. The good news for the Cardinals is that the Atlanta Falcons gave them a blueprint on how to beat the Rams in Week 17.

If all of these things happen, the Titans have a very real shot at getting the second pick in the draft.
