The Buffalo Bills and Sean McDermott have parted ways after nine years and several playoff failures.

McDermott was superb in the regular season, but couldn't get his team over the hump in the postseason.
Now, the Bills are on the lookout for his successor.
With Josh Allen, James Cook, Greg Rousseau, and others, there are some great pieces that could entice any candidate to go for the Buffalo job.
But it might not be the best job for some head coaches, because as ESPN's Ben Solak writes, the Bills aren't interested in any down years. They want to win -- now.
"The new head coach will enter Buffalo with astronomical expectations, as the outgoing coach made the playoffs seven consecutive times, including the divisional round six straight years," Solak writes. "There is no teardown and rebuild on the horizon in Buffalo, no one-year grace period. The next coach needs to hit the ground running and win in January immediately."

New Bills HC under enormous pressure
Similar to the Baltimore Ravens head coaching job, the next person to take over will face significant pressure.
Just making the playoffs isn't enough. The team wants playoff success.
When you have Josh Allen as your quarterback, you should be in the Super Bowl conversation every season, which Buffalo was under McDermott...until the playoffs actually started.
Just two AFC Championship appearances in nine years and no Super Bowl appearances didn't cut it.
Now, Buffalo's new head coach will have to come in and, straight away, get results, not just in the regular season, but in the playoffs.

And that, my friends, means huge pressure from the get-go.
